Lockets

Lockets are generally pendants. However, their particular quality is their ability to open up. This allows for special contents to be stored within these items. Such inclusions may have superstitious value, or they simply may reflect personal aspects.

Traditionally, lockets may hold such things as a cut of hair. Today, it is more common to find photos inside these precious items. Generally, they are worn around the neck. However, they may also be worn as a charm upon a bracelet.

Lockets have historically been a common gift during Valentine's Day. They generally include images of the lover who presented them. However, they also may be shared between family. Other occasions during when they may be given include weddings and christenings.
